So, i have a my touch 3g and want to do all the cool stuff you can do with android once its rooted... My phone HAS already been rooted and i want to start messing with ROMS.

I have found instructions for using NANDroid on the dream, but are the steps and everything i need to do the same?

Surely you mean a Touch 2G / Hero?

06/Jan - Installing the patched recovery image on your device - Android @ MoDaCo - this will be able to flash a custom recovery image to your phone (I believe it is RA-hero-v1.5.2 or similar).

There are also custom ROMs here as well.

Oh you meant the MyTouch 3G? It's hard to find anything for that right now. I have not found anything for it so far on MoDaCo or XDA Dev.

I would advise searching the xda-developers forum just in case there is anything there that I may have missed.

I have been looking there.. they have it listed as a "saphire" and from what i can tell, i THINK all (or most of) dream dev stuff is compatible with it.

    Can anyone confirm this?

There are ROMs here: Sapphire Android Development - xda-developers

Again, I will state that all those who use them do so at their own risk.

Do your homework and pick one that best matches your phone version and needs.
