Phone Calls

I have been getting a lot of weird phone calls from random numbers early in the morning. Recently my phone has started acting really slow and sometimes shutting off by itself. Are you able to hack a phone just by calling it? If so I haven't picked up the phone for any of these phone calls can you still hack it if I don't pick up? Sorry if this question seems trivial, I am really bad with technology.

I have never heard about it getting a call and it gets hacked .... but still can't confirmed it but it may happen sometimes ..... !!
