    I've gotta say, this new smartwatch is really looking good. At this rate I predict that the smartwatch market will be every bit as competitive as smartphones in a few years, especially once Apple enters the market. Analyst research is predicting 41 million 'smart' watches will be sold by 2016. This is the worlds first water and dust resistant smart watch, and this time around they've even included NFC connectivity. This smartwatch is a multi-functional message notification android device, which can also be used as a music remote. It comes wrapped in a sleek water resistant (IP57) aluminum body, and will include a stainless steel wrist band, but don't worry, you'll also be able to personalize it with any standard off the shelf 24mm strap if you like. Here's a few things you'll be able to do with this new smartwatch;

    Easily handle all of your calls with a simple touch of your wrist (boy are people getting lazy, LOL).

    Access your Facebook or Twitter account, or even your Calendar, all without taking your smartphone out of your pocket.

    Use it as a camera remote control to take pictures remotely from your SmartWatch.

    Bring up the mapping app when you're getting some exercise on your bike or taking a run.

    Read all of your e-mails, even those not yet connected to your phone.

    Like listening to music? Great, you'll be able to easily adjust all of the tracks and the volume on your favorite music player, and you'll never have to touch your phone.

    You'll have the ability to control your presentations remotely using the Presentation Pal app.

    Use lifestyle apps like Runtastic to map and track all of your fitness activities.

    Other apps will allow you to customize the smartwatch to suit your own lifestyle.

    Oh yeah, and don't forget, when it's not connected to your phone you can still use it as a ultra cool digital watch.

    This new version has some key features, notably; much better screen brightness (sunlight readable), standard micro USB charging and the longest battery life for a smartwatch (the battery level indicator even gives you a low battery warning), a user interface similar to Android UI so it is more intuitive, a bigger screen with higher resolution (1.6 inch, 220 x 176 pixels). This new version will be in stores around September. I'm really looking forward to all the new smartwatches that will hitting the market. Who here is thinking of getting one and how will you use it? Here's a teaser video that Sony has just posted on it;
