How can I enter recovery on my Xperia M2 (D2303)?

cannot enter recovery on xperia m2 (D2303)

I have been trying to enter custom recovery because I need to install this .zip file containing supersu and stuff to root my device which Is a bother. I cannot use the CWM recovery that I successful installed via fastboot.

what I've done successfuly:
Unlocked boot look
Installed Cwm recovery

Info:
Running android 4.4.4
Model name: Sony xperia m2 (D2303) (UK based)

Tried:
Using add/fastboot commands to auto open recovery
Towelroot.apk
Kingo root
Installing over recovery.

If there is any alt methods for rooting my device please let me know! Or a fix/method for getting into recovery

(As far as I know, I am supposed to hold power and volume down until the Sony boot logo is displayed then let go of just power until recovery is up)

FYI I have some how accessed one of the recovery (probably the same one) by mistake.

Using the hardware buttons after the device is powered off, you press power+volume up. That should reboot you to recovery.

Thanks, ill try this at 100% battery as instructed, it says this works on android 4.3... Will this for sure work on mine which is 4.4.4?

If you can, there is a root app called rashr, that can possibly install a custom recovery.
