No cell service after installing new roms

I just flashed my phone to a new rom which Is Cyanogenmod 9. I used the Stable version and It worked really well but I got no Signal . I can't use the net or message or even call someone. I tried other roms as well but they don't have signal as well. After searching for quite a bit I found out you have to Install some kind of radio? I don't know what radio. I am very new at this and If I do have to Install the radio how do I install It?

why dont you just flash back to a backup?

or you can check out XDA and find the model dev page download a modem to the sd card and flash via custom recovery

or check your mobile network settings see if data / mobile network is enabled
