Mum's number has gone private. Help please.

Everytime my mum phones me or dad it comes up with private number or unknown. Any idea what has gone on? Mum's phone is a Sony Xperia E4G on 4.4.4 KitKat.

She probably has caller ID blocked... either via carrier settings, or in her contacts. Have her check the settings on her carrier website and unblock caller ID, and also check her contacts to make sure *67 is not attached to yours or your dad's number.

Thank you for your help. Somehow the caller ID was on different settings that was blocking her number making it come through as private or unknown. Selected make my number visible & it now works perfectly.
