System UI is not working and my phone is unresponsive

[AC Question]

I was juston storage and clearing the cache i then turned my phone off and it lit up saying System IU has stopped then it gave me two options to wait or close app so i clicked close app and nothing happened and now my phone is unresponsive what should i do. it is a Sony Experia XA it is quite a new phone
