I'm trying to look everywhere to see if i can buy the Sony Z1 Compact, I believe its a D5503 which is saw on ebay for preorder and if this will work with ATT and receive 4G LTE. I know the Z1 C6906
will get 4G in the US, but im not clear about the z1 compact. The person that i might order says if it supports these: support phone's bands:
4G Network LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 then it will work. I really would like someone to please just say Yes it will or No it wont. I just cant seem to get a straight answer. I appreciate your help with this.

Thank you
Steve

Re: Sony Z1 Compact using with ATT

Those are the LTE bands that international version supports according to Sony (and so far, I have only seen compact & z1f in japan), so if AT&T supports those then it should work.

I don't believe that it will. I'm pretty sure AT&T uses 700 for most of its network. I would like one also.

Confirmed. AT&T uses 700,1700 and 1900 and while 2 of those are listed almost all of there LTE is on 700 so no LTE. Hopefully there will be one released with the appropriate bands eventually

Yeah, I was kinda pissed when I found that out. Pretty much expected it, though. Same situation as the Z from last year. We might be waiting awhile for the Compact.

To the best of my knowledge, it'll work with 3G. I wouldn't drop that kind of money on a phone that didn't work with LTE in 2014, personally.

What a disappointment. I was about to pull the trigger on this.

Just don't get Sony. Never seen a company so determined NOT to succeed.

I have one in using on At&t right now. No it doesn't get LTE. But I'm getting between 4-10mbs and doesn't seem like the Internet is any slower. Pretty cool phone

Glad you are liking it. Where did you buy it? How is the battery life?

I bought it from Clove in the UK. First day with it and the battery is crazy good so far. On pace for 9 hours of screen time!!

Just got mine today. Suprise, suprise, ATT LTE is working here in NJ.

Hmm, might have to pull the trigger on it after all. I don't have much faith that an unlocked version is coming to the States.

No apn changes. It downloaded some internet settings and then it locked on right away. BUT, it was hit or miss the rest of the day. Sometimes it was LTE, but most of the time it was HSPA+.

In the dfw (Dallas TX) parts of the city I get LTE and most parts it's H+. Not bad at all definitely something I can deal with
