Z1 turns on after so many days

My Z1 I purchased has many problems I just can't seem to understand, it's like I has a mind of its own. At the moment there is no power but after a few days the LED light would start flashing red. I've repaired the phone through companion software twice and phone would start functioning perfectly after the repair. But I have noticed as a am downloading apps my device gets hot and just switches off completely and the cycle continues again. It has not been water damaged as far as I am aware nor has it been vigorously slammed to the ground. My gut feeling tells me it's the battery

Have you done a factory reset?
If that doesn't help, I guess is time for a new phone.
Unless you can replace the battery for a lot less money, if I remember correctly, that phone has a non-removable battery.

sounds like a battery problem to me. see if you can find a vendor that replaces batteries of old phones.
