Z2 water damage

My brother and I both have Z2's and while mine has survived many dunks and swims, the first time he brought his underwater, this happened. (yes, the flaps were closed) Bad luck I guess, it looks like it entered through the speaker grill

Bad luck! Did your brother talk to his wireless store, or contact Sony for repair or replacement? Seems like it should be covered under warranty if it's supposed to be water resistant.

Yea he contacted the amazon seller he bought it from, still waiting for a reply but it's within 30 days so here's hoping!

The seller might not be able to do anything. You may have to contact Sony for warranty work.
