Sony Xperia Z3 notification light not working for text messages

So I just picked up the Z3 last night. I like the the phone but the notification LED doesn't seem to be working. Anyone have anything to try to fix it?

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* go to service tests and double check the led isn't working there first.

Also make sure notification light is ticked in sms settings.

Thanks, and yes the LED is working and notification light is ticked in the sms app

And is it still not working? The light only goes off if you haven't seen the notification for the text message on screen (ie if you get a text message while the screen is off).

Ok it is working, its just very intermittent. Is there a more granular way to control notifications? ie, i'd like different sounds for different notifications / text senders, different LED colors, flash frequency etc..

Not a clue. There are apps to control the LED light though.

Hi how do you check that the light is enabled in SMS settings? I have switched from iPhone so am a little behind!
