Security screen lock "NONE" option missing

Hello,

Guys please help. As you can see in the printscreen I'm missing the "NONE" option from that list. I had it today...but now it's gone. I only have the ones in that list and I've tried everything and I can't get the missing one back. I have Android 5.0.2 and like I said before...the "NONE" was there today...

Did you install or set up any new e-mail accounts? Or if you have a corporate account maybe your company has pushed that into your phone (Exchange accounts can do that, and yes, you agree to it when you set it up).

Under your Security Settings, look for Device Administrators. There should be a list there of the accounts and/or apps that can take over your phone's security settings and enforce certain policies, like mandatory, secure lockscreens.

This is my phone and I don't have any corporate account (or anything like that) on it. I didn't install anything new...I just put the phone in my pocket, went to work and pull it out and when I did I was that "swipe" screen and I was like...huh?

This is what I have... I might try to deactivate all of them then restart the phone to see if anything changes but...meh.

Even the 'Screen Off and Lock' thing? That's the only one that sounds 'sketchy'.

Try activating a secure lockscreen, then checking back to see if the option is back.

I just got my "none" option back, lol. Here is the solution:

• I made a "guest user" then went to Settings - Security - Screen Security and then selected "none" (the option was there)
• Then I went to Settings - Users and remove the "guest user" then I selected the "owner" and from there I went back to Security - Screen Security and then selected "none"

...sounds crazy but it works.

Right. No none option in guest either. Just delete guest user and owner user will have none option. Worked for me today

Swipe down from the top edge of your display. You will see a small circle with a generic "user" logo or your own picture at the top right corner. Click on it and you'll get "add user" option.
