Sometimes the camera loads but can't take photos or record, how can I fix it?

Sometimes the camera loads but can't take photos or record

At random times, the camera (regardless of what app I open it in) loads like normal, but when I press the shutter button, nothing happens. Only started happening recently - any ideas what's wrong/how to fix it?

Xperia Z5 running 5.1.1

I would try to clear cache and app data on the camera app
