Front camera stopped working on Sony Z5 compact after battery replaced

[Android Central Question]

I had the battery replayed on my Xperia Z5 Compact. The repairer said that it might be a software problem - apparently there was a post on a forum that suggested that an update might have disabled the camera.

I've run the hardware test in the Diagnostics are of the Settings and have confirmed that the camera is not working.

Oops - it's actually Z5 Compact - no Z7 as the title suggests
