How does one remove or edit a primary shortcut?

In customizing my mom's brand new EPIC, I need to delete two of the primary shortcuts at the bottom of the screen and replace them. However, I've searched the entire manual and around this forum and have been unable to find out how to do this.

Anyone know how?

Never mind. I stumbled upon the answer.

I see you already found the answer, but I'll answer it here for anyone else that might be looking.
From the homescreen, hit the drawer button (far right blue box button). Hit Menu, than choose Edit. From there you can drag icons out or in.
As a note: You have to be on a Froyo or Gingerbread based rom. Eclair based roms did not allow the dock icons to be changed.
