New voicemail messages that I receive are playing back the first time through the speaker on the back of the phone. Each time after that, messages will play through the handset speaker. At first I thought it was all new messages, but it seems very random as far as what speaker will be used to play a message.
Samsung support has no suggestions for how to fix this, and Sprint support just wants to do a hard reset. A hard reset was already done the last time the phone was in for service for a different issue, and the software was updated to FC09. I believe this is what caused the problem with the voicemail, but on the Sprint forums, some are saying this happened sometime after the EL30 update and after an update to the voicemail.
