Can you update a sprint Epic 4g Touch thats flashed to Boost Mobile?

Can I update my sprint Epic 4g Touch thats flashed to Boost Mobile? I am presently on GB EL29. The flashing to BM was done by someone else I have no idea of how to do it so I do not want to mess it up.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes and no. In order to update it, you would have to flash it back to sprint, returning everything to stock. Then update and flash back to boost. You won't be able to update the sprint firmware and prl over the boost flash. If someone "flashed" your phone, but did it more of a just get it to work way, rather than a legitimate way, there is real potential there to render your phone useless. I honestly would stay away from it unless you want to go through the whole reflash and reflash process
