I had read somewhere online about the buttons able to be tied to the screen time out. Now the capacitive buttons stay lit as long as the screen does and do not go out which is a pain.

The setting is under the Sound and Display option, Keyboard timeout.

The sound from this phone is loud and clear comparable to my Treo 700WX, and the sound from the speakers when rings is loud as well, had to turn down the volume, maybe the speaker placement is better and does not get as muffled as on the other Galaxy phones.

Blue LED is there at least when it is fully charged. I like! :)

Is the speaker at the bottom? How does it lay on a surface? I'm surprised it doesn't get muffled or muted a bit if it's where I think it is.

It is at the bottom but doesn't seem to get muffled like on the Captivate I had, its placed on the curvature of the plastic back piece, it looks like the phone still lies over the speaker a bit though.

Maybe the sound just resonates through the phone more or something, who knows, I turned it down a bit as the ringer was loud.
