Extra Contacts Functionality in Android 2.2

I just accidently discovered a cool feature in Android 2.2

go into contacts without holding.. swipe to the right, and it automatically calls the contact.. never noticed this before.

if you swipe to the left you can view your SMS messages with that contact

Cool, I didnt even think to try that.. I like that it prompts which client to use by default for this..

I wonder if this is a Froyo thing or if it was supported in 2.1

either way cool, I had always did a long press n the contact picture and it would launch options to call, message or e-mail..

you can also do the hold and swipe gesture in the default bubble sms as well... That was the only thing I liked about it.. It was so easy to call someone back..

It's from the contact LIST- not the individual contact itself. Say you see your pal "John Doe" in the list with a bunch of other johns... swipe left or right on john doe's name from the LIST not viewing JUST him... then you get the SMS or call prompt.

Just like the rest of android- there's about 3 different ways to do every task... which makes it cool to folks like us- and confusing as hell to everyone else.
