Issues with drivers

I've had this issue for awhile, but finally decided to ask for help.

I've installed drivers from both Samsung and XDA on separate occasions, yet device still isn't recognized using OEM cable (yet with gf's blackberry cable it is recognized)... I've tried debugging, selected the driver manually through device manager (I get a Code 10 error).

Went to Sprint to ask if it was the cable, they issued new cable which worked for the first few days...

So am i just having cable issues? Or am I missing something else?

Sorry to be a bother, but I've seriously been at this off and on for at least a month!

Not an expert, but I've heard the stock cable that comes with the epic is junk. Numerous warnings on most roms to use a cable other than stock. My stock cable has worked so far, but I guess I'm just lucky.

Abandon the stock cable. I have had to use BB, Motorola and other manufacturer cables with better success.
