Is 16GB going to be it?

Wondering if 16GB will be the only size available on Launch this Thursday. Since that seems likely, I'm wondering how long before we can expect the 32GB to become available?

I didn't pay attention when the GSIII launched, was there a choice at launch or did the 32G show up later?

I'm wondering, because I'd consider waiting for a 32GB GN2.

Well 16gb was only available at stores and carrier locations but the 32gb was only available online. And for the Samsung galaxy note 2 the 16gb will also be on sale first.

I talked to some Sprint Reps today and they said that the 32gb version is online only and $400.

$400? $100 for 16GB of memory? Geez? I guess that means the 64GB, if it's ever out for Sprint, will be $500-600 SUBSIDIZED! Or, what, like $1,100 contract free?

Question is, who needs that kind of storage? If you can pay $50 or so for a 64GB SDXC card and put all your video, audio, and photos on that, wouldn't that suffice? Even without rooting, 16GB should let you store multiple hundreds of apps along with their data in the phone's storage. I just can't see using all, or even half that space right now. At least not with the current app sizes. Maybe if something happens and we start seeing apps that are typically 200-500MB a pop, but currenlty I rarely see anything above, say 15MB? And most are well under 10MB, or even 5MB...

You can't move apps to the SD card anymore so a lot of people will pay for the 32gb and 64gb versions

I think Sprint is going to do the same thing they did with the S3; 32GB version available only online at the beginning. I don't see them charging an extra $100 for it though. Probably going to be an extra $50, like with the S3. And believe me, the extra 16GB is worth it.

Well, I almost purchased the 16gb version but decided to be hopeful and wait for the 32gb version to be listed online. I'm hopeful that Sprint will be getting the 32gb version just because they have the 32gb version of the GS3. I'm only hope the wait time is not long!

I grabbed a high speed 64 GB SanDisk microSD card from Amazon a couple days ago for $48 when they were having a sick memory card sale. I'm a prime member so got it in 2 days for free. 80GB is all I'll ever need.

Absolutely loving this phone!

I was told they was just going to carry the 16gb version because of the 64gb of expandable memory.

Dang, I really would prefer a 32 just because I do see this as being a Phablet not just a phone, so thinking lots more apps on it.

Hmm.

Go Packers!
