Please post your speedtest.net Mbps speeds here for your Galaxy Note 2 phone only if you get 4G LTE where you are.

Please post your City and nearest major cross street, and if you are indoors or outdoors.

I was at a Sprint corporate store yesterday giving the GN2 a test drive, here are my results:

City: Sugar Land, TX
Cross Street: Hwy 59 and Hwy 6
Indoors/outdoors seemed to have little impact.
DL Speed: .90 to 2.50 Mbps, usually stayed around 1.50 Mbps
UL Speed: .10 to 1.00 Mbps, usually stayed around .70 to .80 Mbps

According to the coverage map, we should have been in a 4G area. It was interesting to note that the speed improved after a PRL and profile update, makes sense as the PRL has something to do with the tower connection, I think. The phone did display the 4G icon.

In contrast, my 4S on 3G got DL/UL speeds of .90/.30 Mbps, and a GS3 in the very same store scored on average 3 times better than the GN2.

I hope this is not indicative of ongoing performance and that there is something that can be done to correct this. This was very disappointing performance.

What have been your results (Sprint GN2 4G LTE only)? If you have Sprint GN2 4G LTE results to report, can you contrast those with other Sprint 4G LTE speeds sampled at the same time/location? Or even compare with other carrier GN2 4G LTE results sampled at the same time/location?

Please only post if you first have Sprint GN2 4G LTE results to report.

Thanks!

LOL yeah, I just stumbled back in here and saw your reply and was confused. He used the Los Angeles server, so my guess is he might live there as well?

I went back to the same Sprint store as above to try again, this time finding a store employee who seemed very knowledgeable about LTE in Houston and surrounding. He said that even though LTE is rolled out in Houston, it is only at 15% or so, and that in Sugar Land, just southwest of Houston, is less, around 10 to 12%. He said not to expect full LTE speeds in Houston and surrounding until mid 2013. So, guess I'll be getting the note for the S Pen, initially, not the speed, unless I jump and go to ATT or Verizon.
