Apps waking up.

Hi, I downloaded a application called GSam Battery Monitor and it's showing Facebook and Facebook messenger is waking up 300 to 500 times. Can anyone tell me how to stop them from waking up so much? I called Sprint and the rep acted brain dead about what I was trying to explain. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you able to uninstall them or disable them in apps? That would be my solution.

Yea, I can disable them, just wondering if I'll still get any notifications from people?
