Id really love to be able to change the colors of the text messages in the messaging app. I checked the settings and couldn't find anything. Anyone figure out if this can be done?

I'd recommend changing text messaging apps altogether. I downloaded Go SMS Pro and the interface is gorgeous. Check it out.

Handcent is another popular one but I found Go SMS Pro to be nicer.

Is there any way to change the messaging widget on the homescreen to use this? Id hate to have that be a wasted icon.

I can't get Go SMS Pro to play nice with the phone's notification LED, so I'm sticking with the stock messenger until that gets sorted out. I read Handcent doesn't work right with the LED either.
