I have a "verizon.net" account and I have tried everything I can think of and I still can't add this account. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You have to do a manual setup for the account. Just select POP3, and for the incoming server, type incoming.verizon.net, and for the outgoing, type outgoing.verizon.net.

Don't know why it won't do it automatically, but neither do HTC phones for Verizon. My wife's Nexus S 4G picked up the Verizon account without a problem.

Try these settings:

Incoming mail server (POP3): incoming.verizon.net
Incoming Server Port Numbers: 995
Outgoing address: outgoing.verizon.net
Outgoing Port Number: 465
Secure connection (SSL): Checked.

Try port 587 if 465 doesn't work.

Found this on Verizon's support site for Android:

POP:

Username ? your email address up to the @
Password ? your email password
POP3 Server ? incoming.yahoo.verizon.net Port ? 110
Security type ? none

Outgoing:

SMTP Server ? outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net
Port ? 25
Security type ? none

Completely backwards from what I said above, but worth a shot.
