Did anyone noticed that avast software installs Carrier IQ in your phone. It ask if you want to send information back but I wonder if they really respect the negative response or not.

Any one has any thoughts about this issue ?

Avast obviously has a service contract with Carrier IQ for reporting diagnostics information. It's not a surprise really. That data can be useful across many applications and hardware platforms. At least they give you an opt out, which is more than we can say about the carriers at the present.

Thankfully Samsung has a ROM update in the works for our phone that totally removes Carrier IQ from the ROM framework.
