Was wondering if when you switch to 1080 with the camcorder is it supposed to be more or like a little zoomed in than when recording in 720 ..if someone can check if your camcorder does this it would be appreciated. I guess it doesn't really bother me its just sometimes if I'm recording something close. and I don't have much room to back up its a little too close at times

I am assuming its zooming in because the camera does not have a wide angle lens on it to record a true 1080. So it zooms in a bit for better quality.

It zooms in because it has to fill more pixels without the use of a wide angle lens. Think about it, if you have a 1280x720 picture and resize it to 1920x1080, it will look zoomed in as it has to fill the extra pixels. Now our phones have an 800x480 resolution. You can't fit 1080p on this screen without it being resized but it will look normal if you play the video back on a TV or monitor with 1080p.
