Google Maps update failure

hello everyone,
i am a week-old owner of my first Android device and have been very happy with the conversion from Blackberry. I honestly haven't had any problems except for updating my google maps.

it gives me an error in Play Store, saying that my order is processing and will download shortly, but never does. This is for updating to version 6.5.0

I appreciate any suggestions. thanks

Cancel out the download in the market and restart the download.

If that doesn't work, go to settings>applications> all > google play store > clear data, cache then open the market and try again

If that doesn't work, uninstall the maps and re-install.

If none of that works, it is probably an issue on google's end. Just wait a few hours and try again.

I ran into the same problem. I just went to the google play site on my computer and downloaded it from there. It instantly pushed it to the phone even though the phone was getting errors on its own...

It did not work for me. I am on Sprint and I have an EVO 4G.
This is the first time in over a year I have had a problem with updating an app

I just went to Play store on my desk top and it pushed the app right to the phone
