I guess it depends on what you're expecting. You could try an AOSP experience like CM9 or AOKP, or even Dark Knight's hybrid build.

I'm in the same boat. Just checked out a SG3 and there's really not enough difference to make it worth paying for it since I'm not eligible for an upgrade till next year. I'm hoping they get Google Now going on this soon. That would be fun and give me something to keep me occupied.
The only thing I'm hoping for is a Nexus device worth paying for. The way Google is updating and refining the Android system I think I want a phone that will keep pace.

flash rujelus22's Blu Kuban ICS FF18 rom, such a smooth, beautiful, and customizable rom, offers great support (over 500 pages in this thread)

i agree. if i decide to stay with android, i will get a nexus device, but, if apple comes out with a larger screen iphone i may switch back to that.

ill probably try one of those other roms out just for something to do.

i got my fiancee a sprint lg android phone...she likes it (its her first ever smart phone), but last night she was telling me how much she loved the look of the iphone. So a year from now we'll have to see what is available.

As long as she is happy, Im happy

I'm running Cm9 Rom. Its a straight android experience. No touchwiz overlay. That has kept me happy for a while. Basically my biggest issue is I like messing around with the latest and greatest. That can get expensive.

    Must. Hold. Out. For. Nexus.

Keep her happy, you're a good man.
ANYWAY, so why would you want an iPhone? Sure, they look trendy. But they do lack in performance in some aspects. At least for now.

    -Go for a run

    - read a book

    - invent something

    - Get a puppy?

    ??

Just don't tinker with your phone at all for like a week and then come back a flash a new rom.

I wanted something new and exciting so I bought a Galaxy Nexus. I even flashed a JB ROM

Have you tried a new launcher or any other mods?

Give ROM flashing a break then come back. There will be updates to flash or move to themes. If all else fails, jump ship to a more developed phone or pick up development :-).
