Stream Over 3g vs Wimax

i stream music alot and the network vision is improving the 3g here. when streaming i have to keep a minimum of 20KB/s and i usually use wimax for better quality.

question is when streaming over 3g it stays on pulling data, when over wimax it pulls it into a cache then puts the wimax to sleep until the next song, then repeats the process. which saves more battery?

What app are you using? I use Pandora, Jango & Amazon and he charged the song. If you're using live streaming it will be constantly running.

I'm using audiogalaxy to stream my music from my home computer, but that is a general question. Using any app: Pandora, play music, last.fm, etc where its not live
