I'm often shocked at how much of my data an app I'm installing wants access to (ex. a tip calculator wants access to my contacts). Are there any ROMs out there where I can control the data access apps I install are allowed to access? For example, for an app I'm installing that wants access to my contacts, I'd like the option of giving them a dummy list rather than give it access to my real contacts. Does such a ROM exist?

If you install exposed framework there is a module that does just that.

Had to look up name of module. Here is description. Get it over in XDA.

XPrivacy can prevent applications from leaking privacy sensitive data. XPrivacy can restrict the categories of data an application can access. This is done by feeding an application with no or fake data. There are several data categories which can be restricted, for example contacts or location

Gotta install exposed framework first. Can get module from within framework.
