    Hi folks,

I just migrated to the S III from an EPIC 4G on Black Friday. One of the first things I noticed was the crummy battery life I was getting and Media seemed to be the primary culprit. I've been lurking for awhile and read the threads on this issue. All I've done so far to resolve is to pull my microSD card to see how that affects things. And what I saw was a significant improvement in battery life.

    So here's my two questions:

    1. I'm about to reformat the microSD card and have seen references to some software from Easus called Partition Master to do this. Is there a good reason why I should use Easus? Why can't or shouldn't I simply open a DOS command window and reformat the card (as fat32) using the DOS reformat command?

    2. Once the reformat is complete, how do I go about rebuilding the directory structure on the card? Do I have to do this manually? Or do my apps take care of this for me?

    Thanks in advance,
