Easiest and best way is through Dropbox. What I do, is upload my videos to a "Videos" folder in my Dropbox, to keep em separate from the plethora of photos in the general folder. ....

Keep your iPhony, if it's that big of an issue for you. It REALLY isn't, though; you just go into Dropbox instead of Video Player to select your vid, AND your vid is backed up within Dropbox. ... win/win if you ask me. ....

Just create a link to the file from Dropbox and send the link in a text. Pretty simple solution.

I'm going to reply to this old thread because I came across it on Google, trying to search how to attach vids to MMS on Android. I figure I'll post my solution so others can benefit. I ended up finding an app called VidTrim which will shrink your videos and make them small enough to send through MMS. I had a 5 second, 1080P video which came in at 6MB. VidTrim shrunk it to 240p size, and it came out to 133KB, with sound! The app was easy to use, and converted the video in 10 seconds. Easily sent through Google Hangouts MMS.

It stinks that the built-in messaging apps don't convert the videos for you like iPhone, but oh well.

I checked out VidTrim on the Playstore to see if it would work for me. Unfortunately, the developers are in the business of making money so the free version puts a watermark on your new shortened video clip.In the paid version there is no watermark. I don't mind paying for something if it's a solution I want to pay for. In this case, I'm not going to even try it because I don't have an urgent need.

Did I miss something in my Econ 101 class? If someone produces goods/services they should be rewarded for their efforts - that's the basis of the whole free enterprise system. If you don't like their product/price, find a different one or make one yourself.

Sammy SG5. Trimmed video using the available video trimmer that came installed. Resulting Video was 6 secs at 640x480. File was around 960kb. Sent using the installed Samsung text app. No problem. I think the iPhone just trims it automatically. Just an extra step. But grandpa can watch the video in the other end without fussing with any thing.
Not enough of a deal for me to give up the advantages of my phone over the iPhone.
Maybe text video files are limited to 1mb by carriers!

Thats terrible, that the iPhone can do it and Samsung can NOT, that is a huge disadvantage for Samsung, the greatest thing about sending like 30 sec clips of your kids basketball game to the grandparents, right thru the phone email or text. Its tough to tell the grandparents to go to a different site or drop box to look at videos.

Thats amazing that Apple makes it easy and Android make it impossible, I guess that's why Apple is a very strong product, its simple to use and everything works.
I was very excited to finally dump my iPhone, but now I am rethinking that move.
Bless you for this. I was an iphone user since 'the iphone'. Stayed with it because as all apple products....whIle closed source.....WORK.

IPhone always did what it was supposed to do. But I fell in the hole. Went Android to quell another software hardware issue. And I truly regret it now. Not just for this ISSUE WHICH IS HUGE, but for many others.

I'll be going back to iPhone as soon as possible. (See....IPhone woulda know I meant ASAP)

You know you used to be able to send them just fiNE like that now they send ****ty. It's probably a way they will tell u that u need to upgrade to a new phone cause this new one that just came out can send videos clearly. All just to make money
We shouldn't have to download a app to have video's sent. Why can these apps do it and the stock messaging app can't? I shouldn't have to upload any video to youtube just to send it to a friend. I don't think you get what I am saying. Sucking my thumb? sulking? Gonzo? lol. Your picture is creepy. I am sure that's all the play you get; sucking your thumb. lmao. Keep your trollin EVO *** out of the Sprint GS3 forum. Your phone sucks.

I did a search for "how to send MMS on my [brand/model] phone. It took me to a page that provided step by step instructions with an image to compare their settings against mine. Really easy, and I'm not a genius. I used to know a lot about computers, but they started getting smarter and phones becamse more complicated, so now I'm a virtual moron; but this was super easy. Same with getting my OTG to work properly-- it was a matter of finding the correct website; and it ended up being too simple. For the MMS, I didn't have to download an app or anything; no additional programs; nothing but going into Settings on my phone. It sends the videos I took with my phone, the largest one I sent was just a few seconds 37.52 MP.

You kind of rattled off all the ways to do it. You will not be able to send a high quality video over MMS.. The carriers just don't allow it. I've never seen a carrier allow pure HQ videos go through.. I've only seen just the low resolution ones... And I even use ChompSMS which is a 3rd party one.

Sent from my Sprint S3 using AC forums.
I used to send and receive crystal clear videos on my iPhone to and from my friends with android phones. I just received a crystal clear from my friend with a gs8 to my gs9. But I cannot send a clear video to save my life. What's going on?

what If you don't want your videos on youtube? I have a video I've been trying to send of my kid that I don't want floating around on internet.
There is a way to send it to a person privately without other YouTube members seeing it. Have you solved your problem? If not, let me know.

I loved how the google Allo app you can send full size videos in it. It was great, but google does google and cuts the app. Of course they said they took the benefits of Allo to the messages app, but apparently they forgot to include the no compressed video option. Google being google. As much as I hate Apple, they win again....
