I know there's a way to do it via "beaming" or "bumping" or some other automagical way. But I can't find a solid explanation.

Could someone please point one out to me?

My NFC has been hit and miss. Sometimes it works, and others it doesn't. Pictures have to be non copy protected. So any pic you take with the device should be shared. You can also transfer via bluetooth.

I figured it was not as easy as in the commercials. Is anything ever that easy? LOL

The NFC is also the "bump". Gotchya.

So far we've just emailed or used Kies. I just got a tablet (Note 10.1) and wanted to copy some stuff over. Most of it has syncing so I'll just use that.

    Thanks!

Keep in mind that if u want to share info with android users that doesn't have s beam u have to cut off a beam and leave on nfc. Android beam is the same but u have to touch the screen to send the info when the phones are back to back.

I have found that unless the file is big, Bluetooth is less hassle and almost as fast.

You can also share using wifi direct under "System Settings" > "Wi-Fi", and click on the "Wi-Fi Direct" button on the bottom of the screen.

It actually IS as Easy as the commercial, just not as fast or instant as they show. Personally everything done on commercials is pretty instant and not "real time" whether it be Samsung or Apple or "put product name here". Just look at how fast and accurate Blue-Tooth demos in car commercials are. If it could only works so good! :-(
