indication chime/vibrate every 5 minutes exactly

My phone has been chime-ing every 5 minutes, with sound turned off it vibrates!
My pull down screen usually would indicate why, text message, email, app update, and when it is one of them it still does.
but every 5 minutes through the night its not and continues doing it!

Ive currently only left volume on for calls only and it finally quit, but I will miss text and email by doing this.

Whats going on?

The sure way to fix this would be to factory reset, do you know how to do this?

I might try removing the battery. I've read about a process where the phone is still powered on with no open apps. Then remove battery for 45 seconds. Not sure if this will help, but it's easy to try. Good luck.
