I hate starting a video and it's super loud, so I always keep my media volume down. On all games I make sure the sound is off as well.
When I'm done with my phone (media volume down), I will use it again a little later. Click on an interesting video I found and the media volumes to the max.
I don't know why it turns up all the way on it's own, and I've looked all over the internet and can not find help.
I contacted the phone company and they told me to make sure the game sounds are shut off... even though I told them I always keep them off.
Please someone help me. I hate having to cover the speaker until a video starts so I can quickly turn it down, hoping I didn't disturb anyone (especially my 7month old son who gets pretty cranky if woken from his naps).
    Thanks everyone!

Welcome to Android Central! First, try wiping the system cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sam...2-s3-tab2.html.

If that doesn't help, then try booting into Safe Mode, which can tell you if some 3rd party app you installed is responsible for the problem. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10248
