Sprint LG G2: KitKat breaks Bluetooth Audio Tracks in Multiple Cars

After the KitKat update ARTIST, TRACK & ALBUM all list as (NO DATA).

In 4.2.2 that data displayed perfectly in every car now there is (NO DATA) in a 2010 Prius w/ Nav & a 2013 Ford Edge w/ Nav & Sync

EDIT: Google Play Music works, DoubleTwist & Spotify DO NOT

Uh oh, I'll check this in my car tomorrow. What music app are you using? I usually use Google play music.

DoubleTwist... (still cant find anything that works better than iTunes for managing music on my Mac) I'll try Google Play Music tomorrow see if it produces audio data.

The thing that worries me is that I never had ANY issues in 4.2.2

Tried it in my car this morning with Google play music and it's working fine. I have a 2013 cx5. I didn't get a chance to try with any other music players because all my music is in Google play so I have nothing on my phone.

Google Play Music worked for me too it must be an issue with DoubleTwist

DoubleTwist & Spotify apparently need an update to be compatible with Music Data on 4.4.2

Google Play Music worked perfectly in both cars.

no issues here. It does take longer than before to establish a connection but streaming and data have been perfect

I had the same problem on my Nexus 5 running 4.4.2. Artist, track and time information would appear when streaming to my late-model car stereo with Google Play Music, but not with Doubletwist.

Settings|Reset doubleTwist will rebuild the Doubletwist metadata. After doing this on my phone, artist and track information appear on the car stereo when streaming from Doubletwist (although elapsed/remaining time is still not displayed).

Did we confirm this is a per app issue? ie each app needs to update for KK in order to make the music info show again.
For me it's been Pandora that now doesn't show music data.

Its 100% a per app issue. Im using Google Play Music now since DoubleTwist doesnt seem to have any desire to update for their paying customers.
