I need an additional battery as I'm sure most of us do. Not helping that we can't touch 5% of it.

Anyway, I generally lean towards OEM batteries. This means ~$25 or so. I have never owned a Samsung phone before - is there another option that should be considered?

I bought a couple with a charger for ten99 from amazon. It seems they do not last quite as long as the stock, but at that price... I haven't plugged my phone into ac to charge since :-)

Really? I got 14 hours of Juice out of mine yesterday, thats only the first cycle after I let the batter died completely on Sunday. Turn of Auto Brightness, its not worth it. Thats gonna be your biggest battery drainer. I keep GPS and Sync on all day. Have Fancy Widget Pro Home clock, facebook, twitter, and the Android "News & Weather" Widget running on sync.

Yeah, yesterday was my first work day with it. I had the screen set to the second-brightest setting (brighter than auto). I also have live wallpaper, and a bunch of apps running. I did a 1.5hr conference call on it and it was complaining about needing a charge before 3PM (I took it off the charger at about 10:30AM).

Ill see mine today. I was in no service areas well buildings all day yesterday. Was pretty good for having no service at all compared to the epic.

I've always used seidio for my 3rd party batteries and been happy with them. I have a friend who swears by Mugen so I was going to try them but after looking into the options, the seidio is 1750mAh and the mugen is 1600mAh.

Here's an article from PreCentral on batteries. Most of the 1350 mAh Seidios tested were in fact 1150 mAh.

Here's a comparison of Nexus S 1500 mAh, Mugen 1600 mAh, Samsung OEM 1440 mAh batteries.
