hey beezy, thought i'd throw this up there. The boot animation included in 3.6 is awesome but the images are not exactly formatted for our screens. This attached boot animation is formatted for our screens and IMO looks a little better. If you want to try it out for yourself make a backup copy using root explorer of bootanimation.zip in /system/media and replace it with the one i attached. reboot and see if you think it looks better, if you don't you can always replace it with the backup of the original you made. The images are formatted 480x800. Check it out and see what yall think.
    Looks nice thank you

hey , would u be kind and share that wallpaper ?
    Here you go.

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15668564/PhaseBeam.apk

Make a backup of the phase beam.apk in the system/app folder with a root file manager, then add in that file above and reboot.

There are a few visual artifacts, but overall it's ok.

You don't have the newest launcher2.apk

Replace the one you have on there with this one, then set the density to 215:

I still think the colors look grainy.

And I had the question, is this meant to be a pure ICS rom or a Galaxy Nexus port? Because I regard the boot animation as separate from stock AOSP, I wouldn't expect to see that boot animation on any other device (though of course you can do it). Do you think the official ICS build for the Nexus S will have its own boot animation? What does the Nexus One boot with on Gingerbread, does it use the Nexus S animation?

    Fresh out of the oven...

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15668564/ICS...-alpha-3.6.zip

Flash the above file, no need to wipe unless you really want to. Then download the free version of ROM Toolbox, go to the Performance tab > build.prop tweaks > change LCD Density to 210 (my mistake earlier, I said 215). Reboot.

EDIT: Actually 215 and 210 are pretty similar, I don't notice any differences.

Np. That launcher is pretty the same as what you'll see on the GNex. App drawer animations, homescreen page overscroll animations, modified search widget at the top, etc. It's pretty much a replica once the density is set at 215/210. May look a tad small, but that's how the GNex looks.

If you're asking for a specific release date, then no, no one knows, but Google said a few weeks. It has been confirmed that the Nexus S/4G will be receiving the update though.
