Hey guys, I ported the MIUI SwAT ROM from GSM Nexus S to our NS4G's.

Screenshots

How to install
-Backup your apps and Data (See "Issues" for importance of this!)
-Reboot into recovery
-Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache
-Backup current ROM (optional)
-Wipe Data/System/Boot partitions
-Flash ROM
-Reboot
-Let phone boot up
-5 minutes after phone booted into System, reboot into recovery and fix_permissions
-Reboot into system and enjoy


Issues
-File Explorer force closes if there is an apk in the folder
-No wimax (MIUI doesn't support wimax so don't get your hopes up for that)
-Market can't download an app over 1mb unless your on wi-fi >>THIS IS MY NUM 1 PRIORITY TO FIX!
-GPS has been spotty, will be fixed shortly>>Fixed, see post #2

I can't download apps unless connected to wifi

Will this ROM be updated every Friday like GSM MIUI

-I will try my best every week to port to the NS4G. I don't consider myself an Android Developer, I just love MIUI. But if you follow the thread you'll see, I don't act like I know everything and since this is a community I often ask for help/advice from everyone

Will this build support WIMAX (4G)

-No

My gallery/music app is not showing all media

- I included "Re-Scan Media" app, just open it and let it do it's thing

I get a reboot if I try to connect my phone as USB Storage

-If you can, try and run ddms and get the log. After the reboot, try and re connect again, should work

My GPS is not working

-Open up GPS Status, press Menu hard button, open "Tools">Manage aGPS Status>Download

-If the above does not work, try doing the Compass Calibration

I get white on white text when signing into Google

-This is a known issue on many (if not all) MIUI ICS ROM's. Being worked on

How did you translate it?

I cannot get apktool to work with any 4.0.3 kernels.

I will try miui when i can flash a single rom that has everything working. Too many complete roms out there to bother with flashing multiple zips to get everything working.

There is only one zip to flash. He provided a main link to the ROM, then a backup mirror site incase that normal one goes down. It comes prepacked with Matr1x kernel and offered a second optional kernel to flash.

For me no Wimax sorry is a deal breaker. I'm not in an area that i can rely on Wifi. No Wimax = worthless for me. Correct me if I'm wrong, without Wimax, there is no data except for wifi. Or is it just no 4g data? Either way, it's a deal breaker as I use both 3g and 4g pretty equally.

You will still have 3g and wifi.. 3g will do the same as anything you do on 4g, just at a slower speed.... Only option you would loose is with 4g you can surf the web/make a phone call at the same time....

Lol... If your lived where i do, you would understand. The best 3g i can expect living where i do, is almost always under 100 kbs. My 4g is only about 1mbs. So if i am on the web it is with 4g or wifi. The only time I'm on 3g is when I'm not doing anything. For me 3g is for getting email only when not actively using the phone. It's been like this for over 6 months. So no wimax is useless for me.

Running MIUI and so far its pretty cool... Clean, smooth.. Something different from the normal that we are used to here.... Think I will hang out for awhile to enjoy some more MIUI, not only for me but to expand my horizons on troubleshooting MIUI in the future since I had no previous experience.

wifi wouldn't turn on for me. I did a complete factory reset, wipe, and then flashed. Was there anything I missed?

I've restored to v43, so I could get back on here. Any help would be great, it seems like a great ROM!

Try flashing the eugene kernel.....

I will say that this ROM rocks for a first version. Not quite a dd yet, but it will make a great one when it's got a couple things worked out.

themes seem to take foreeeeeeever to download.. any way to remedy that? other than that.. this rom is good for what it is.. (beta that is) good job..

To my knowledge at least in the first build the theme downloader isn't working.
