I installed it. My feeling is that because the UI isn't fundamentally changed to support touch, there is no compelling advantage. Disadvantages? Not really. I suppose it might be a bit more error prone, due to the fact that stray touches are more likely than scrolling to an option and clicking. Because the font size is bigger, some of the output from the install scripts formatting looks screwy. I think it is more of a novelty than anything.

I like it, it seems more futuristic is about the be way to describe it. Just as long as there is no disadvantages to using it.

Its pretty kewl, definitely more easier and faster than scrolling through volume buttons. I flashed the .img file straight from my phone using Flash Image GUI app ($1 in the market and free if you go to the developer's(?) site) :)

*edit*
Here's the site I was talking about

Yeah, I like having touch, I just think the old menu driven UI isn't great for touch. Team Win Recovery Project seems like a better direction to go for a touch driven UI: TeamWin Projects - TWRP 2.0 | TeamWin

Love the twrp 2.0
Unless cwm comes up with dungeon revolutionary or twrp 2.0 stops working...I'm sticking with it. It's themeable too! Can't beat that.

Shameless plug...check our thread for themes for twrp.
