How's everyones battery life? Mine is terrible.

Flash a custom kernel (links at the bottom of the OP) and grab Nstools from the market so you can adjust the kernel settings, also open Google Now and go into settings then turn off the sync features you do not use. For me personally, I have turned Google Now off completely. I just don't need it. These steps should help your battery life.

I'm sure that in time we will figure out how to improve battery life further. But I do agree that JB out of the box does not seem to be battery friendly.

Correct, will try out the 4g later today. Do you guys live in farms :) I actually get better 4G then 3G signals...

I live in Indiana and there zero 4G WiMAX towers in the whole state. Gotta go to Chicago,il or Cincinnati, oh for get it, both a few hours away.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyBean-v2.0 - JRO03L [8/9/12]

Anyone else use Matr!x kernel. Ever since I used it my phone if freezing and rebooting every 3 minutes. The phone is almost unusable.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyBean-v2.0 - JRO03L [8/9/12]

I am sure they are asking cause some of the other JB builds only 3G tether works and not 4G. I also cannot lest 4G as it is 4 hours to find the nearest WiMAX tower.

I wasn't aware of this, sorry about that. Always looked at it once they got wireless tethering working on 3g, I assumed it worked on 4g too...

If I go out later this morning I will drive up the road about a mile or two where I catch 4g all the time and test it out for all..

I just tried air kernel....even worse phone is rebooting when on every 35 seconds....no idea whats going on. If i try opening setcpu or nstools it automatically freezes.

Re: [ROM][4.1.1][AOSP] JellyBean-v2.0 - JRO03L [8/9/12]

Hmm...I think I found the problem. Even though I keep flashing new Kernels it is saying I'm running Matr!x kernel (probably for ICS). I'm doing a cache and davlik cashe wipe, installing the new kernel from zip, and it says successfully installed. Yet it's not updating. Am i doing anything wrong?

Wipe everything in recovery and start fresh. Something is definitely wrong, and the only way your gonna fix it is by starting over.

Hey drummer, I think the only matrix for jb is 22.5 . I'm on air kernel #171 now . Not have that issue . Maybe try to wipe cache and dalvak again and re flash . That's a strange one ????

I can confirm 4G tether (hotspot) does NOT work. It switches right over to 3G. As a matter of fact I'm tether on it now :)

This is also the case for JB rom at XDA.

I'm experiencing the same....both the hotspot and the USB tethering drop 4G and switches to 3G when I activate them.

EDIT: After tethering via 3G for a half an hour or so, my connection kicked over to 4G, and now my laptop is tethered on 4G. Hopefully it stays that way.

I already tried adding the screen shot option to the code, however I'm not a super coder and my attempts failed. So we fall back to using the stock Power + Volume Down option to take screen shots.
