text message/file download issues

real quick question for anyone that can answer me, and it is that ever since ive had this phone i would say the ONE problem that ive had with it is that when i receive texts with attached files to them which u then need to download the file in the text window, i click the "download file" prompt in the persons text folder and it looks like its working but usually NEVER downloads the attachment... is there something i am doing wrong? is there something in the settings that needs to be adjusted? any help would be LOTS of help, thanks.

Check your settings on texts because its wonky about that. If you click on the attachment it won't download and just open up the picture. To download it you have to long press then tap the save/download option. It should then pop up in your gallery for pictures

When I was using the stock rom I had a ton of trouble with pic messages, I could never send or receive either. I flashed Cyanogen and it worked, now I am on Oxygen 2.2 and it works.

I know this is an annoying solution, but it is a solution, hopefully.
