Assuming Google Wallet is active and a prepaid balance (thanks Google) is in place....does the phone need to have CONNECTIVITY to work for payment?
I move my Sprint service between my rooted HTC EVO (for Infrastructure Wifi tethering) and my new Nexus S. If my NS4G is deactivated in Sprint's world....will the transaction go through? My presumption is "most likely" given the balance detail, security and NFC functions being phone-based....but not sure.
Anybody complete a Google Wallet transaction without active Sprint connection?
If it needs it I'll switch back from the EVO to try it out...just thought I would ask first......
Worked like a charm today for lunch at McDonald's. I was so pumped to use it haha. Went in, ordered, got total, touched phone to the keypad area, input pin on phone, tapped again and voila. Went waaaaay better than i hoped. Can't wait to keep using it.
Thanks for lunch Google!
Sorry if this is already answered somewhere, I don't have time to look through all the pages right now.
How do I get google wallet? I noticed it said from a sprint software update, but I have CM7. Is there anyway to get google wallet with CM7 installed?
It was a little (not a lot) faster than getting out my wallet, pulling out my credit card, swiping, put card back in wallet and wallet back in pocket. Obvioulsy, the security code you enter makes it not quite as fast as it could be, but that's fine as it protects it.
You can change the lock time up to 30 minutes. Unlock Wallet in the checkout lane (or wherever). That way you just turn in the screen, hold it for a sec, and go.

The question of "does a phone cover mess up the NFC" was asked a few times, but never answered. Anyone have an answer. I'd hate to have to pull the cover off to get my transcation to go thru on the first try.
