Receiving text in wrong thread

When I receive a text it shows up in a thread with a blank contact. Anybody else have this problem? I could probably reset my phone, but that's a pain.

Im getting that issue to or like a bunch of mixed up letters and symbols with no number or person

I've been getting that too. Twice today!

The texts with garbled symbols and letters have been attributed to special emergency texts. This issue was supposed to have been resolved by the cell broadcasts apk that is included in the ns4g 4.1 stock update.

Not sure if it's the same issue, but I've been having conversations where the area code is removed, and so responses no longer work, and the contact name doesn't show up until I click on the avatar.

I've been able to remove the number from the contact, then send a "new" text to the full (10 digit number), then re-add them as a contact. Let me know if someone figures out what causes this.
