Vertical Picture Mail

Whenever I Take a photo with my Nexus S while I am holding my phone vertically and then send said photo via messaging it automatically rotates my photo 1/4 turn to the left (like it would look if you where holding your phone horizontally) and sends the photo like that. So all the photos I want to send in a vertical format get rotated. Is there any way around this? Does this happen to anyone else?

This has been a huge issue on Samsung phones that run Andoid for a long time now. It has to do with the EXIF data not getting saved properly and Andoid confusing which way is which.

In the meantime, I've tried to use third party applications like JustPictures! to save the file the correct orientation and send it that way.
