So the price has dropped from $199 to $149 same as the one year old Evo....

could this be because Sprint has realized that this phone has issues?

Maybe it's because it has about the same rating as an Instinct on Sprints website.

From what I understand, it's due to the release of the Evo 3D. I could be wrong, but there's another post here on the nexus s 4g forums with a link about the price drop of the Evo and the NS4G due to the Evo 3D launch.

This phone has been $150 for existing customers for a while from 3rd parties. Still 199 from sprint. Even cheaper if you're a new customer.

I doubt it has anything to do w/ the issues people are having. Our two are seemingly fine. But it's hard to sell a phone that is spec for spec less than the EVO 3D (setting personal preferences and value aside) for the same price.

I expect a price drop of $150 direct from sprint and $100 from 3rd parties, as it should be because it's not a new phone, just has 4G tacked on =)

So that means the Evo 3D will drop in price in a few weeks since it's an HTC device and we all know HTC devices have problems.

For the record, it's been $150 for upgrade customers for ages now, plus Amazon has it at that price NEW for a month.

I don't see this price drop on sprints website yet! Has it been dropped at the sprint stores already? I got mine 3 weeks ago, would definitely like to go in & get my $50 refund.
