Battery percentage in increments of 10 percent?

Battery percentage is only in increments of 10 percent. Anyone know why?

even with battery indicator installed, it still has in increments of 10. So something is fishy

Agreed. I have System Info Widget that shows battery percentage (along with other stuff) and it does the same thing, it only goes down in 10's.

Such increments on battery guzzling android is stupid!
Do you have 20% left or 11%

Once you get to 20 it goes in increments of 5.

It must be a Motorola thing. I have an X2 and it has this same issue. According to a Verizon press release, this going to be resolved with the gingerbread update that is imminent (for the X2).

So I would assume this means that they are aware of the issue.
