Bug or `Feature`?

I just noticed this on my Sprint Galaxy S4. While sending a photo via SMS (`messaging`), if I hold the phone vertically and start to type a phone contact`s name, it immediately finds it. If I hold it horizontally it does not find my contacts and instead both types letters, and then equivelent numbers below the letters (so if I type a `B` it types a `B` in one line and then a `2` below it, etc).

Not a bug or feature, just something they didn't think about when making the app

Ummm, sounds like a bug. It doesn`t do what it issupposed to do. Has this been reported before?

Yeah, I guess it's a bug. Never noticed it so I doubt it's been reported
