    since purchasing my new phone, Samsung Galaxy S4 - the number of calls that drop has grow more than 5 to 1 and signal strength is poor and phone goes into roaming when others around me are not. My other family members are on the sprint network and have no problems. They are using other brand name phones. I previously had a HTC EVO and did not experience this issue. Is there anyone else out there having this issue? I saw other threads about the S3 but not the S4.

    Do you have the network on CDMA/LTE?
    Have you taken it back to Sprint so they can check it?

    If everything it's fine then your unit might be defective and you should exchange it.

    +1 on what STARGATE said. My wife just picked up an S4 over the weekend on Sprint and her phone is functioning fine and has great call quality and signal coverage.

    Update PRL and update Profile, reboot (to be sure).

    The S3 and S4s have a curiously strong LTE radio and a pretty good CDMA radio. The only phones with a better radio from what I've had are the OG HTC EVO and the LG Optimus G.
